Navy League Minnesota honors US Navy ships connected to the State of Minnesota:

USS Minneapolis/St Paul Honorary Commissioning Committee:
This Honorary Committee is typically made up of former politicians, community leaders, business leaders, etc. While this will still be part of the process, it is our goal to honor post 9/11 combat veterans who are struggling with PTSD, are wounded warriors, and who's service to our country should be honored. We have yet to define how this will be measured or chosen, but if you know of of veteran who would be a likely candidate, please contact us at email@example.com.

Why support an event featuring the Air Force? Because we have good information that the US Navy TAC Demo Team featuring the world famous F/A - 18 Super Hornet
will be on site and demonstrating the capabilities of the Navy's top line fighter!
Navy League Minnesota Monthly Meetings! Attend our monthly meetings at the Richfield, MN Fred Babcock VFW.
We typically hold them the third Saturday of each month. The schedule is posted under 'Activities and Schedules'.

Navy League Minnesota was successful in lobbying the SECNAV to name a Littoral Combat Ship after a city(s) in Minnesota.
In September 2015 SECNAV Ray Mabus announced at Target Field the naming of LCS 21 the future USS Minneapolis/St Paul.
While we do not know when the first steel will be cut, or date of any of the ceremonies. We will post them here as soon as we know them.
