Fate whispers to the Sailor, 'You Can't Handle The Storm.'   And the US Navy Sailor whispers back..........'I Am The Storm.'

One of the most important Navy League missions is to inform Congress of the need for strong sea services. Navy League members are committed to supporting the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine, and volunteer their time and money to advocating for the sea services. The Navy League accomplishes this in two ways: educational events in the nation’s capital and grassroots outreach across the United States.

"For the building and maintaining in the proper shape of the American Navy, we must rely upon nothing but the broad and far-sighted patriotism of our people as a whole; and it is of great importance that there should be some means by which this patriotism can find an effective utterance. Your society offers just the means needed."               President Theodore Rosevelt
